About the Winery
Cascina Garitina is a family winery founded in 1900 in Castel Boglione, in the southern Nizza Monferrato zone of Piedmont, now led by fourth-generation vignaiolo Gianluca Morino. The estate is planted 85% to Barbera with vines ranging from 40 to nearly 100 years old, including historic plots planted in 1924, 1949, and 1954, practicing regenerative organic farming at 285-420 meters elevation on sandstone and marl soils, and vinifying exclusively red wines with indigenous yeasts and very low sulfur additions.
