About the Winery
Cascina Gavetta is a small family estate in Novello, Piedmont, established by Roberto Cogno and continuing a family tradition of grape growing that endured even through the devastating hailstorms of the 1950s. The estate produces Barolo from crus including Corini-Pallaretta, Langhe Nas-cëtta del Comune di Novello from the Belmonda vineyard, Barbera d'Alba Superiore, Dolcetto d'Alba, and Langhe Nebbiolo, with a commitment to traditional farming practices including tying vines with willow branches ('gurat') and acacia poles from their own woods.
