Cascina Barisel is a small family estate in Canelli, Piedmont, founded in 1985 and managed single-handedly by Franco Penna across 5 hectares of organic vineyards. The estate specializes in Moscato d'Asti DOCG from 50-year-old vines, Dolcetto, and Chardonnay, with Penna working entirely without chemical fertilizers or insecticides on south-facing calcareous marl slopes where underground springs create exceptional conditions for vibrant, mineral-driven wines.
