About the Winery
Massimo Clerico is a historic family winery in Lessona, Alto Piemonte, where the Clerico family has worked the land since the 1700s and was one of three original vineyards granted the right to the Lessona appellation when it was created in 1976. The estate's 2 hectares within the Lessona zone, making it the third largest landholder in the tiny appellation, are planted on ancient marine sand soils at 350 meters above sea level, producing approximately 5,000 bottles annually of distinctive, mineral-driven Lessona DOC and Costa della Sesia wines from Nebbiolo, Croatina, and Vespolina.
