About the Winery

Castaldi Francesca is a historic family winery in Briona, Alto Piemonte, where the family has cultivated vines since the 1700s, with Francesca taking over in 1997 and beginning a vineyard renewal project. Today Francesca and her son Marco manage 6.5 hectares of organic-practicing vineyards on glacial moraine soils, producing elegant Nebbiolo-based Fara DOC and Erbaluce whites, with their flagship Fara made from 70% Nebbiolo and 30% Vespolina aged in large oak casks.
