About the Winery
Benito Favaro is a small, certified organic family winery founded in 1992 in Piverone, on Europe's largest moraine hill, the Serra d'Ivrea, near Lake Viverone. The 3.5-hectare estate, now run by Camillo Favaro with father Benito and brother Nicola, produces approximately 20,000 bottles annually, with Erbaluce di Caluso as their flagship. Their most sought-after wines are the 'Chiusure' and 'Tredicimesi' Erbaluce di Caluso, benchmark whites that demonstrate this ancient indigenous variety's vibrant freshness, depth of flavor, and excellent aging potential.
