About the Winery
Bussi Piero is a fourth-generation family winery in Calosso, spanning 12 hectares on the border between Langhe and Monferrato in the UNESCO heritage area. Founded when grandfather Agostino began vinifying in 1918, the estate specializes in Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Moscato d'Asti DOCG, Gamba di Pernice Calosso DOC, Grignolino, Dolcetto, and Nebbiolo. Now run by Piero and his son Federico, their historic 'Castagna' vineyards were first documented in 1758 land registers, and Piero also authored the historical book 'Gente di Calosso' after a decade of research.
