About the Winery
Roberto Ghio – Vigneti Piemontemare is a historic family estate founded in 1881 in Bosio, the highest point of both the Gavi and Ovada areas and the part of Piedmont closest to the Ligurian Sea. The 24-hectare property produces Gavi DOCG, Ovada DOCG, and Alta Langa DOCG wines, with vineyards reaching 810 meters above sea level. Now in its seventh generation under Roberto Ghio, the estate practices organic viticulture with a zero-tolerance policy for herbicides and is dedicated to rescuing forgotten ancient varieties like Caricalasino and Nibiö.
