About the Winery

Alberand is a young winery founded in 2017/2018 by Alex in Salassa, Canavese, at the foot of the Gran Paradiso National Park, with a mission to revive the ancient viticulture of the area. Their vineyards span Salassa and Valperga on alluvial soils with high silt and clay content, cultivating Barbera, Nebbiolo, and the 'King of Canavese' Erbaluce. The estate employs traditional local training methods alongside modern Guyot, producing wines that range from still reds to sparkling Erbaluce, all expressing the unique terroir of the Canavese region.
