About the Winery

Casa Vinicola Pietro Nera is one of the most important and historic wineries in Valtellina, founded in 1940 by Guido Nera and now in its fourth generation under brothers Stefano and Simone Nera. The estate manages approximately 30 hectares of vineyards, including 13 in the prestigious Inferno subzone, producing the full range of Valtellina appellations including Rosso di Valtellina DOC, Valtellina Superiore DOCG, and Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG from Nebbiolo. Their wines, including notable crus like Signorie and Paradiso, have earned numerous national and international awards, and visitors can experience tastings at their historic cellar and wine bar in Chiuro.
