About the Winery
La Corona was founded in 1996 by Paolo Russo in Scanzorosciate, in the hilly Tribulina area on the first offshoots of the Bergamo Pre-Alps, where Moscato di Scanzo has been cultivated for centuries. The estate specializes in Moscato di Scanzo DOCG, a red passito wine known since medieval times, producing it from steep, rocky vineyards surrounded by centuries-old woodland. Their philosophy is to interfere as little as possible with nature, using no wood in winemaking and allowing grapes to dry in the open air to capture the full expression of the annual vintage.
