About the Winery
Azienda Agricola Franzina, founded by Mattia Franzina in 2014, is a tiny artisan estate in Buglio in Monte, Valtellina. Working less than one hectare of steep terraced vineyards at 300-550 meters elevation, the family grows Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) and other native varieties using organic methods, producing about 5,000 bottles of Rosso di Valtellina DOC and Valtellina Superiore DOCG annually.
