About the Winery

Bisson was founded in 1978 by Pierluigi Lugano, an art teacher and sommelier, in Sestri Levante on the Golfo del Tigullio, with a mission to elevate native Ligurian grape varieties. The winery is celebrated for its Abissi sparkling wines aged underwater in the Bay of Silence at 60 meters depth, alongside a portfolio of whites from Bianchetta Genovese, Vermentino, and Pigato and reds from Ciliegiolo and Granaccia.
