About the Winery

Located in the village of Bataji beneath the historic hilltop town of Motovun in central Istria, Fakin Winery is a young family estate that has emerged as one of Croatia's most awarded wineries since Marko Fakin dedicated himself to professional winemaking in 2010. The family cultivates 40 hectares of vineyards on the area's characteristic white soils, focusing on indigenous Istrian varieties including Malvazija Istarska, Teran, and Muscat, with their 'La Prima' Malvazija and 'Il Primo' Teran as flagship labels.
