About the Winery
Piè di Mont is a unique winery in Gorizia, founded in 1983 by Paolo Rizzi and now run by his son Roman, dedicated exclusively to producing Classic Method sparkling wines from a single cru vineyard on Monte Calvario. Their signature cuvée blends 60% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, and 20% Ribolla Gialla, with the vineyard's early sunset creating significant temperature swings that preserve acidity and aromatics, and wines resting on lees for a minimum of 33 months before release.
