About the Winery
Simcic (Edi Simčič) is a multigenerational family winery in Slovenia's Goriška Brda hills, just across the border from Friuli's Collio region, founded in the 1960s with just 3.5 hectares and now managed by third-generation brothers Jure and Jakob across 13 hectares. The estate is renowned for producing polished, terroir-expressive wines, particularly Chardonnay and Bordeaux-varietal reds, with all wines fermented and aged in French oak barriques and yields kept extraordinarily low through meticulous hand-selection of individual berries.
