About the Winery

Fondazione Villa Russiz is a historic estate in Capriva del Friuli, within the Collio DOC, founded in 1868 by French Count Theodor de La Tour and his Austrian wife Countess Elvine Ritter, who also established a charitable home for needy children that still operates today. Spanning more than 40 hectares of vineyards, the foundation produces acclaimed white and red wines from both international and native varieties, with proceeds continuing to support the on-site foster home, and has been recognized as 'Azienda Benemerita d'Italia' for its excellence.
