About the Winery
Tenuta Pederzana is a historic estate in Solignano Vecchio, near Castelvetro di Modena, spanning 14 hectares of vineyards, woodlands, and a natural spring lake in the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC zone. Founded after WWII by Franco Simonini, who collaborated with the University of Bologna to isolate a unique clone of Grasparossa, the estate is now run by his descendants producing distinctive, hand-harvested Lambrusco wines from clay soils with significant day-night temperature swings.
