About the Winery

Located on the hillside of Casticciano overlooking the sea near Bertinoro, Bissoni was founded in 1988 by Raffaella Alessandra Bissoni on 11 hectares with 5 hectares of vineyards at approximately 200 meters elevation. The winery obtained organic certification in 2016 and focuses on two quintessential Romagna varieties, Sangiovese and Albana, producing approximately 25,000 bottles annually of wines that express the mix of clay loam, limestone, and spungone soil of the Bertinoro sub-zone.
