About the Winery
With roots dating back to 1558 documented in the Farnese Rural Appraisal, Mossi 1558 is a historic family winery in Albareto di Ziano Piacentino, with fourteen generations of continuous grape and wine production. Located at 270 meters above sea level near the 45th parallel, the estate is renowned for being the first to believe in and successfully relaunch Ortrugo, an ancient native grape variety that had been disappearing from the Piacenza wine scene.
