About the Winery

Founded in 2004 in Guardia Sanframondi, Benevento, Wartalia takes its name from the ancient Latin 'WALDA' meaning 'to watch,' reflecting the town's historic role as a lookout over the Sannio landscape. With approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces three distinct ranges spanning Sannio DOC (Wartalia), Beneventano IGT (Danae), and a basic IGT line (Kikoi), focusing on indigenous varieties including Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, and Aglianico.
