About the Winery

Santa Venere is a historic estate in Cirò, Calabria, owned by the Scala family since the 1600s and now spanning 150 hectares with 30 under vine, managed organically since 1996 by Giuseppe Scala. With an annual production of approximately 218,000 bottles from indigenous varieties including Gaglioppo, Guardavalle, Marsigliana Nera, and Nerello Cappuccio, the winery has built an international reputation for excellence, exporting 50% of its production under the guidance of renowned consultant Riccardo Cotarella.
