About the Winery
Maddalona del Casato is a historic family winery in Cirò Marina, Calabria, with roots dating back to 1920 when Pasquale Calabretta returned from the California gold mines to establish a 63-hectare agricultural estate. Now led by Francesco Calabretta, the estate produces Cirò DOC wines from Gaglioppo grown on clay-limestone soils near the coast, including a Rosso Classico Superiore that represents the proud tradition and terroir of the region.
