About the Winery

Giuseppe Calabrese is a small artisan producer in Saracena, at the foot of the Pollino massif, who inherited three tiny vineyards from his grandmother Peppina and cultivates about four hectares using organic methods. His 7,000-8,000 bottle annual production centers on the rare Moscato di Saracena passito and a distinctive Magliocco red, made with spontaneous fermentations and minimal intervention to authentically express this little-known corner of Calabria.
