Altomonte is a family winery in Palizzi, Reggio Calabria, led by Antonio Altomonte, cultivating 7 hectares on extraordinary terrain between the Grappida and Carruso mountains. The estate practices certified organic viticulture using grafts from centuries-old 'mother vines' to produce Palizzi IGP wines from Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Calabrese, Inzolia, and Malvasia, with the goal of preserving and valorizing local viticultural ecotypes.
