About the Winery

Stefania Pepe founded her eponymous biodynamic winery in 2003 in Torano Nuovo, Abruzzo, carving her own path as the daughter of legendary winemaker Emidio Pepe. On approximately 8 hectares of organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards, she produces around 30,000 bottles annually of pure, additive-free wines from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, including the acclaimed Cerasuolo and Pepe Nero, with a pioneering commitment to minimal intervention that she first explored in her groundbreaking 1988 university thesis on organic-biodynamic viticulture.
