D'Alesio Sciarr is a family winery in Citta Sant'Angelo, Pescara, Abruzzo, run by two branches of the D'Alesio family who together manage 40 hectares of organically certified vineyards at 300 meters elevation on pebbly and calcareous soils near the Adriatic Sea. The estate produces wines from indigenous varieties including Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Cococciola, and Passerina, along with sparkling wines including SciarRosè and SciarrMant, with their flagship Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva aged in large oak barrels and the Trebbiano Tenuta del Professore dedicated to grandfather Mario, a professor of agriculture for 45 years.
