About the Winery
Ciavolich is a historic family winery founded in 1853 in Miglianico, Chieti, Abruzzo, by the Ciavolich family who arrived from Bulgaria in the 16th century, now led by Chiara Ciavolich and her husband Gianluca. The estate manages 44 hectares of vineyards spread across the hills of Loreto Aprutino and Pianella, producing wines from indigenous varieties including Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Passerina, Cococciola, and Moscato, with particular acclaim for wines aged in amphora, concrete, and terracotta that showcase the diverse terroirs of the estate.
