Castelsimoni is a mountain winery in Cese di Preturo, L'Aquila, Abruzzo, situated at 800 meters above sea level at the foot of the Gran Sasso within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. Founded with a belief in mountain viticulture and a member of CERVIM, the estate focuses on cold-resistant, early-ripening varieties including Pinot Nero, Traminer Aromatico, Riesling Renano, and Chardonnay, farming without systemic products, irrigation, or fertilization, and fermenting with indigenous yeasts to create uniquely fresh and pure mountain wines.
