Caprera

About the Winery

Caprera, also known as Agricola Caprera, is an organic artisan farm founded in 2013 by Luca Paolo Virgilio in Pietranico, Pescara, Abruzzo, at 400 meters elevation between the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountains. The estate spans 22 hectares of windswept land dominated by forests, with only a few hectares dedicated to vines alongside olive trees, grains, and beehives, producing low-intervention wines from Trebbiano Abruzzese and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo planted with vine material from Emidio Pepe, creating just a few thousand bottles annually with spontaneous fermentations and no oak aging.
