About the Winery

Altavia is a modern winery in Dolceacqua, Liguria, founded in 2002 by friends Gianni Arlotti and Savino Luca Formentini in the heart of the Rossese di Dolceacqua DOC. Named after the ancient 'Alta Via' salt road that runs across Liguria, the estate's 5 hectares of vineyards in the Arcagna area produce approximately 40,000 bottles annually, including Rossese, Vermentino, Syrah, Viognier, and Carignano.
