About the Winery
Poderi Sanguineto I & II is a 50-hectare family estate in Montepulciano run by Dora Forsoni, who began bottling her own wines in 1997 after decades of selling grapes in bulk. With just 6 hectares of organically farmed vineyards featuring old vines of Prugnolo Gentile, Mammolo, Canaiolo, and Nero Toscano, the estate produces intensely traditional Vino Nobile di Montepulciano using spontaneous fermentation in concrete vats and aging in variously sized oak botti.
