About the Winery

Founded in 1907 by Josef Hofstätter in the wine village of Tramin, J. Hofstätter is one of South Tyrol's largest family-owned wine estates, now in its fourth generation under Martin Foradori Hofstätter with approximately 54 hectares of vineyards stretching across both sides of the Adige Valley. A pioneering force behind the single-vineyard 'Vigna' classification in Alto Adige, the winery is internationally acclaimed for its expressive Gewürztraminer sourced from historic Tramin vineyards and its highly decorated Barthenau Vigna S. Urbano Pinot Nero from the prestigious Mazon plateau.
