About the Winery
Villa Russiz is a historic estate in Capriva del Friuli in the Collio, founded in 1868 when Count Theodor de La Tour, a French agronomist, married Elvine Ritter and recognized the extraordinary potential of the area for quality wine production. Today the Fondazione Villa Russiz manages 50 hectares of vineyards, continuing the Count's legacy of elegant, refined wines while supporting charitable work for underprivileged children, with the proceeds from wine sales funding the foundation's social mission.
