About the Winery
Vie Di Romans is one of Friuli's flagship wineries, where Gianfranco Gallo took over from his father in 1978 and carried out a radical restructuring to produce site-specific wines of exceptional quality. On 60 hectares in Mariano del Friuli in the Isonzo DOC, the estate cultivates predominantly white varieties including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Malvasia Istriana, Friulano, and Riesling Renano on clay and ferruginous soils, with each wine labeled with both the grape variety and the vineyard name, deliberately released two years after harvest at optimal maturity.
