About the Winery

Verha is a project launched in 2022 by acclaimed winemaker Elena Fucci to produce younger, ready-to-drink wines from Vulture terroir while supporting local Barile winegrowers. The name 'Verha' means 'wine' in the Arbëreshë dialect spoken by the Albanian minority in Barile since the 15th century, with the wines crafted from organic grapes grown on volcanic soils at 650 meters, including a Sauvignon Blanc, an approachable Aglianico Rosso, and a Rosato.
