About the Winery

Founded by Umberto Zamaroni on the island of San Pietro off Sardinia's southwestern coast, U-Tabarka (also known as Tanca Gioia) takes its name from the Tabarkan island heritage of Carloforte's Ligurian settlers. The estate focuses exclusively on indigenous varieties including Carignano del Sulcis, Vermentino, Nasco Aromatico, Moscato di Calasetta, and Bovaleddu, crafting wines shaped by the island's sandy soils and sea breezes with minimal intervention.
