About the Winery

Cortonesi (La Mannella) is a family winery in Montalcino, Toscana, established in the 1970s when the Cortonesi family purchased the La Mannella estate, and now led by third-generation winemaker Tommaso Cortonesi. The estate's 138 historic acres include the crown-jewel Poggiarelli single vineyard of under 5 acres on Montalcino's southeastern side, producing Brunello di Montalcino that balances bright red fruit with dark fruit, balsam herb, firm tannins, and fresh acidity from marl-rich rocky soils.
