About the Winery

Madonna del Latte is a small family-owned organic winery founded in 2000 near Orvieto, between the city and Lake Bolsena, by food and wine journalists Manuela Zardo and Hellmuth Zwecker. Their 5 hectares of vines flourish on volcanic soils at 450 meters altitude, producing wines including Cabernet Franc, Viognier, and rosé, aged in a spectacular barrel cellar carved into ancient tuff stone, likely an Etruscan tomb.
