About the Winery
Tenuta San Guido is the legendary Bolgheri estate in Toscana founded by Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta in the 1940s, famous as the birthplace of Sassicaia—the seminal 'Super Tuscan' wine and the only single estate in Italy with its own named DOC (Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC). The estate spans from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the hills over 13 kilometers, encompassing a thoroughbred horse breeding farm and a WWF-managed natural oasis, while producing three exceptional red wines—Sassicaia, Guidalberto, and Le Difese—from approximately 70 hectares of vineyards planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot.
