About the Winery

Tenuta Abbadia Vecchia is a fourth-generation family winery in Montepulciano, Toscana, managed by Pierfrancesco and Elisabetta Pierantozzi, producing organic Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG from approximately 40 hectares of vineyards planted predominantly with Sangiovese on clay-loam soils. Founded in 1952 when the great-grandfather of the current owners purchased Podere Abbadia Vecchia, the estate combines traditional methods with innovation, crafting wines with controlled fermentation and careful oak aging that express the full structure and depth of Montepulciano's terroir.
