About the Winery

Montecivoli is an organic winery in Magliano in Toscana, Toscana, founded in 1992 by Decio Oberholtzer and Francesco Prosperetti on a historic sharecropping farm in the Morellino di Scansano DOCG zone, farming 7 hectares of low-density, dry-farmed vineyards. The estate follows traditional viticultural methods with a deliberate choice against irrigation, cultivating Sangiovese alongside a small amount of Alicante to produce Morellino di Scansano wines that authentically express the character of each vintage and the estate's sandy-clay soils at 250 meters above sea level.
