I Botri di Ghiaccio Forte is a pioneering organic winery in Scansano, Toscana, established in 1989 by Giancarlo Lanza and Giulia Andreozzi as the first organic estate in the Tuscan Maremma, farming vineyards originally planted in 1969 across from the ancient Etruscan settlement of Ghiaccio Forte. The estate cultivates a remarkable diversity of indigenous varieties including Sangiovese (Morellino), Ciliegiolo, Grenache (Alicante), Prugnolo Gentile, Ansonica, Malvasia, and Vermentino, producing elegant, mineral-driven wines that protect the historical roots of this unique Maremmian terroir.
