About the Winery
Skerk is a family winery on the Carso plateau near Duino Aurisina, where Sandi Skerk has made a name among orange wine enthusiasts with wines of exceptional class and personality since beginning his winemaking journey in 1987. The 8-hectare estate cultivates Vitovska, Malvasia Istriana, Teran, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio on red, iron-rich stony soils at about 250 meters altitude just 3 kilometers from the sea, with a stunning cellar carved into karst rock providing optimal aging conditions.
