About the Winery

Stachlburg is an organic castle winery in Parcines near Merano, founded in 1990 by Baron Sigmund von Kripp on a family estate that has been owned since 1547. The winery cultivates approximately 7-8 hectares across three vineyard sites at elevations from 300 to 650 meters, producing a diverse range including Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Lagrein, Gewürztraminer, and Merlot, all certified organic and Bioland since 1998. Their wines are characterized by naturalness, authenticity, and distinct personality, with the motto 'quality does not come only from the cellar but is born in the vineyard,' and the historic Stachlburg castle provides a unique setting for tastings.
