About the Winery

Santerhof is an organic farm and winery in Rio di Pusteria at the entrance to Val Pusteria, operated by Wilhelm Gasser and recognized as Italy's northernmost winery since beginning wine production in 2008. The farm cultivates over 40 varieties of apples, stone fruits, and PIWI grape varieties including Bronner and Regent on 0.85 hectares, vinifying exclusively in their own cellar with organic methods certified by Bioland since 1991. The sandy soils with high silicate content from local Bressanone granite lend both apples and grapes a particular taste reflected in their wines, including fresh whites and reds.
