About the Winery
Founded in 1811 and housed in a 1565 Palladian villa that is now a UNESCO World Heritage site, Santa Sofia is one of the oldest wineries in the Veneto, located in Pedemonte in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Managed by the Begnoni family since 1967, the estate produces celebrated Amarone, Ripasso, Valpolicella Superiore, and Recioto across 53 hectares in the most representative municipalities of the denomination, exporting to over 60 countries worldwide.
