About the Winery

Principe delle Baccanti is a small family winery in Baranello, Campobasso, founded in 2004 by Livio Palazzo and Emilia Alferi on the family's historic lands near the Abbazia di Santa Maria in Valle, where the Palazzo family has cultivated vines since the 1500s and exported wine to Germany in the 1930s. At over 650 meters on steep slopes with live clay soils, the estate organically cultivates Tintilia and Falanghina with entirely manual methods, producing 10,000 to 15,000 bottles annually of mountain wines with limited production and strong character.
