About the Winery
Salvatore Molettieri is a benchmark producer in Montemarano, one of the finest crus of the Taurasi DOCG appellation in Irpinia, Campania, with vineyards at 550 meters altitude. The Molettieri family, who began bottling their own wines in 1983 after previously selling grapes to large producers, manages 13 sustainably-farmed hectares producing powerful, concentrated Aglianico wines including Taurasi, Taurasi Riserva, and Irpinia Aglianico Cinque Querce from calcareous clay and volcanic soils.
