Salcheto is a pioneering organic winery in the hills of Montepulciano, founded in 1984 and renowned as the first winery in the world to certify the carbon footprint of every bottle. The estate produces Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG from estate-grown Sangiovese across 40 hectares, employing revolutionary sustainable practices including a gravity-fed cellar, natural CO2 fermentation, and zero-added-sulfite wines.
